Capilano Honey – Seasonal Selections
The flavour of honey varies depending on which flower the nectar has been collected from. Enough nectar from a single source can give the honey a very distinct flavour. When Australia’s native flora blooms, Capilano’s 600+ beekeeping families are right there to collect that special single source honey from diverse eucalypts, fruit and even nut trees, thus inspiring our delicious selections range
Available in 2 variants:
- Blue Gum – Delicious delicate taste – Our bees collect nectar from Blue Gum tree blossoms which bloom around the Clare Valley and all the way to the South East regions of South Australia to produce our light, delicately sweet Blue Gum honey. This premium honey is renowned for its pleasing aroma and smooth, distinctive flavour that lingers. We love this honey in baking or as a natural sweetener in tea and coffee.
- Grey Ironbark – Light, buttery taste – Majestic Grey Ironbarks flourish along the Great Dividing Range to the coastal plains of South East Queensland. Their distinctive blossoms yield one of the best honeys in Australia. Light in colour and with a lingering sweet character, we love Ironbark honey drizzled over ice cream or in milkshakes. It also makes the perfect glaze for honey carrots or honey prawns.
